Gold Bond® BRAND Plaster Accelerator provides minor adjustments to the set time for conventional and veneer plaster systems. Adding a plaster accelerator to the mix causes gypsum crystals to form at a much quicker rate. This procedure is intended to provide a minor adjustment of 10 to 30 minutes to the normal setting time of our plasters. The addition of 4 oz. of Gold Bond Plaster Accelerator will reduce the set time by approximately 30 minutes per bag of veneer plaster product.

Do not add Gold Bond Plaster Accelerator directly to the water or mix it with water to form a solution before adding it to the plaster mix. Instead, the plaster accelerator should be spread in dry form into the mixer after plaster has been added. If mixing by hand, dry accelerator can be added either to the dry mix or the plaster slurry.

Important: Clean mixing containers and tools with water immediately after use, and partially used containers should be closed as tightly as possible. Keep Gold Bond Plaster Accelerator in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight. Maintain temperature above 40°F (4°C). Shelf Life: Up to 12 months under protected storage conditions.
