Extreme Impact features a specially formulated, dense Type X gypsum core that is non-combustible and fire-resistant. The core is reinforced with both glass fibers and an internal fiberglass mesh, delivering superior resistance to hard and soft body impacts, surface abrasion, indentation, and penetrations. Panels are enclosed in 100% recycled, moisture and mold-resistant face and back paper to enhance long-term performance.
Proprietary M2Tech® technology provides an added layer of protection against moisture and mold growth, helping improve indoor air quality. Extreme Impact achieves the best possible mold resistance score, 10 out of 10 per ASTM D3273, and is GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low emissions. Enhanced panel density also improves sound attenuation compared to standard drywall.
Ideal for residential, commercial, and institutional construction, Extreme Impact Drywall Panels are commonly specified for hospital corridors, gymnasiums, utility rooms, airport terminals, and public buildings. Panels can be installed over wood or steel framing in new construction or renovation projects. Joint finishing follows standard drywall finishing practices, and once primed, surfaces can be painted, wallpapered, or textured to achieve the desired appearance.
